KAFO (Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthosis)

KAFO (also known as caliper) is an orthosis that encumbers the knee, ankle and foot.

​

It can be used for multiple diagnoses, including severe knee ligament instability, muscle weakness  as a result of Poliomyelitis, Multiple Sclerosis, and Spinal Cord Injuries, Genu Recurvatum(also called knee hyperextension or back knee), pain and/or fracture. 

​

The orthotic brace is used to provide stability to your leg during stance phases.
